Key Facts

  • For current and potential volunteers of Gwent’s Youth Social Action Work
  • NEET young people ages 18-25
  • People with additional learning needs ages 16+

In light of the Covid-19 risk, Volunteering Matters’ Youth Social Action work in Gwent has moved online.

Every volunteer will have access to a purpose-built online platform that can be used to access training, view interesting presentations, take quizzes and so much more!

Because Volunteering Matters is committed to volunteering safely, we have moved our Youth Social Action volunteering opportunities online. What this means is, that our SAFE, Activ8 and Mind Matters work is now available through a purpose-built online portal where your volunteer manager can support you every step of the way.

You will be given access to a whole host of content, including volunteer training modules for projects, informative presentations, quizzes, safeguarding awareness resources and many more! The best thing is, our Youth Social Action projects are committed to putting young people at the helm of what we deliver – meaning, you will have the opportunity to sit on a youth advisory panel and decide in what direction the project goes! You can create resources, decide on initiatives to follow and so much more!
