Key Facts

Equip+ supports people  aged 16-64 living in Rhondda Cynon Taf or Newport (Gwent) to begin your journey towards employment, education, or training.

There are often a whole host of reasons an individual is out of work – and although there are common threads, everyone’s situation is different.

This is why Equip+ works in partnership with the local community – volunteers, funders, other charities and employers – to create bespoke solutions to improve opportunities for people to get into work.

If you are aged 16-64 living in Rhondda Cynon Taf or Newport (Gwent) and looking to begin your journey towards employment, education, or training, we can help you with opportunities and tools that to develop confidence, knowledge, and life skills. Equip+ can connect you with volunteer mentors from your community, to support you with goal planning and guidance.

We provide access to IT equipment and offer bespoke workshops including:
  • Steps towards Self-Employment and how to access grants
  • Digital skills, including how to use Zoom or MS Teams
  • CVs, Personal Statement writing and Interview tips
  • Confidence building

If you’d like to refer someone for support, please request a referral form. Participants need to be resident in the Newport (Gwent) or Rhondda Cynon Taf areas.

Equip+ is supported by the UK Community Renewal Fund, a UK Government programme for 2021/22. This aims to support people and communities most in need across the UK to pilot programmes and new approaches to prepare for the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
