Learn Together Scotland harnesses the skills, experience and commitment of older people, enabling them to meet real needs in their communities. Volunteers support pupils for a minimum of 5 hours each week in local schools, giving extra help with literacy, maths or other subjects, or getting involved with a range of activities from gardening, to cooking, to drama, to knitting. This particular role is involves helping children with outdoor learning.

Volunteer requirements

We are looking for volunteers age 50 and above. You don’t need any special skills, just the ability to listen and enthusiasm for your subject or activity. We will provide training in literacy learning and numeracy support about volunteering with children and being in schools.
