Volunteering Matters win at Welsh Government Youth Excellence Awards!

We are delighted to announce that our Development Manager in Wales, Sianne Morgan, has won the award for ‘Outstanding Youth Worker’ at the Welsh Government Youth Work Excellence Awards.

The awards, which recognise and celebrate outstanding youth work projects and youth workers from across Wales, announced its winners on the 23rd of June in Cardiff.

Sianne has dedicated over 17 years to delivering youth volunteering projects across South Wales, projects like Activ8, Mind Matters and Beyond Transitions.

Our Sex Matters Too project was also shortlisted for the health and wellbeing aspect of the ‘Outstanding Youth Work Project’, and was awarded a certificate as a finalist! The project – supported by the Big Lottery Fund – delivers peer-led workshops on sexual health, healthy relationships and sexual exploitation.

It is a great honour to be recognised by the Welsh Government for our work delivering youth-led volunteer projects across Wales and a big well done to Sianne and the team!
