Measuring the God

Helping to build the capacity of charities to manage and measure their impact

We are delighted to be providers on the Access Impact Management Programme.  Access, the Foundation for Social Investment, recently launched their Impact Management Programme to build the capacity of charities and social enterprises – helping them increase their social impact and diversify their incomes.

The pilot phase will award up to 10 grants by May 2017, with the full grant application window open from September 2017. Around 50 grants are expected to be awarded in total, with an average grant size of £50,000.

Volunteering Matters, Coalition for Efficiency and DataKind UK have been approved as joint providers on the programme’s Growth Strand to offer support through our innovative Measuring and Managing the Good model.

The Growth strand is for charities and social enterprises that are seeking to raise investments or contracts. It includes training, grant funding and support to help organisations develop impact management systems required to meet the needs of investors or commissioners.

Measuring and Managing the Good approach

Our joint approach is founded on the basis that an organisation’s staff are already experts in their fields and in the social issues they are addressing.  As Access providers we can provide  a diverse support team to take an organisation through a structured step-by-step process to anticipate and meet their impact management needs –  from establishing a robust impact frameworks to analysing existing data sets to help adapt services to deliver the best impact.

If you are a charity or social enterprise that thinks the Access Impact Management programme might be for you, and would like to work with us as providers to become a more results-driven and evidence-based organisation, please contact either Angela.Schlenkhoff-Hus@volunteeringmatters.org.uk or Antonia@cfefficiency.org.uk.
