Citywise is a lottery-funded initiative within Volunteering Matters’ Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme. It recruits unemployed volunteers aged 50+ who want to make a difference in their communities through offering their skills and experience to help others.
In addition to supporting volunteers to develop their own voluntary projects and activities, Citywise runs sessions to help improve volunteers’ employability skills through workshops. Our employee volunteering team recruits skilled volunteers from Deloitte to deliver these workshops on topics such as CV writing, interview skills and self-confidence.
The Deloitte team wanted to show the Citywise volunteers that they already have key skills and experience that employers value, and advise them on how to tackle difficult interview questions and write a winning CV.
